Tesla may launch its own smartphone soon, and a proprietary network to run it

The auto industry has changed and if you own an EV, you probably forgot what a mechanic is or does. You do, however, need to update your car regularly, just like your smartphone.

The result is an overlap like we’ve never seen before. Apple is working on a new car, and Tesla is reportedly working on a new smartphone, and a network.

Musk has said it before, time and again, that he wants to integrate self-driving *and* ride-sharing capabilities into the Model 3 and Y’s software and in order to do that, the company wants to use its own proprietary network, which would also, presumably, be used for the smartphone that Tesla has apparently been working on for quite some time.

The question is, would you actually use a Tesla smartphone if it existed?
