You’ll never guess the car brand that’s now accepting Bitcoin

I thought it was a joke when I first heard about it but it isn’t.

A car brand everyone on Earth, Mars and the Moon have heard of is now accepting Bitcoin.

The automaker in question is the ultra-conversative, ‘do-as-I-say’ Italian brand everyone knows as Ferrari.

Speaking to Reuters, Ferrari’s Chief Marketing Officer Enrico Galliera said cryptos are now more ‘green’ as they’re now using renewable sources more often.

More importantly, Galliera addressed the elephant in the room.

“Some [of our potential customers] are young investors who have built their fortunes around cryptocurrencies,” he told Reuters.

That’s right.

A lot of people made a lot of money overnight with crypto and lost everything.

But some haven’t, some are still wildly rich.

The catch is Ferrari is (for now) only planning to accept crypto in the US, its largest market.

China, another major market for Ferrari, is unlikely to follow do tue crypto being de-facto banned in the region.

So Europe should be next, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
