David Brown Automotive is a UK-based tuning company that specialises in ‘remastered’ British classics and this is the brand’s latest creation, the ‘Oselli Edition’ Mini. The first thing you’ll be happy to know is that it isn’t powered by batteries, because under its bonnet you’ll find an old school petrol-engine capable of delivering 125 hp and 113 lb-ft of torque, good enough for a 0-60 time of 7.8 seconds. Each car takes around 1,400 hours to build and only 60 units will ever be made.
It’s fitted with four individual seats, with Carbon Grey upholstery, but it is also available as a two-seater (upon request). Whichever model you pick, it’ll be equipped with a rear roll cage, four-point seatbelt harnesses and, crucially, period-correct 13-inch wheels that’d look ridiculous on any other car but they look just perfect on this one.
You can have it in Carbon Grey or Old English White and you can choose between Competition Red, Royal Blue or Heritage Green (pictured) for the ‘accents’, by which they mean the ‘stripe’. Price upon application.
