This is the Bermat GT-Pista, yet another supercar from a brand no one’s ever heard of, but the company that builds it, Bermat (from Northern Italy), said it is going to cost “no more than 200,000 euros”. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a lot of cash, but it’s a realistic price tag. Which is more than you can say about other equivalent supercars that cost a million dollars or more.
The cabin features a race-focused (but the company loves to say it’s ‘aero-inspired’) cockpit with bucket seats, a 12-inch digital instrument panel and carbon fibre everywhere. It’s highly customisable, though, so you can basically have any colour you like and choose between different materials and trims.
The 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine that powers it is not outrageously powerful, it ‘only’ produces 400 hp, but this is a compact car (4.6 mt) and it’s very light, tipping the scales at just 1,000 kg. According to Bermat, the GT-Pista can accelerate from standstill to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds.
Production is not limited in the sense that they’re going to make as many as they can sell, but they said they only have the capacity to build 10 cars every year.
