McLaren introduces a gorgeous 750S one-off, but there’s a problem

The problem with these anniversary models is that they never get made.

This, like almost any other supercar of this sort, is a one-off designed for McLaren to look in the mirror and say “gosh we’re so good”.

And I get it.

Obviously they’d have a hard time producing this in great quantities.

But it’s a shame, because it looks awesome.

The livery is a tribute to McLaren’s Monaco GP, 24 Hours Le Mans and Indianapolis 500 wins.

They call it the ‘3-7-59 Theme’, which is a reference to the race numbers that the race-winning cars were wearing.

All in all, you’re looking at 20 different colours.

It’s a shame it won’t get made.

But, the ‘good news’ is it’s based on the 750S, and if you can afford it, and beg MSO (McLaren Special Operations) hard enough, they may be willing to build a vaguely similar bespoke 750S for you.

But, the 740-hp beauty starts at $330,000. So yeah, it ain’t for everyone.
