I’ve been writing about watches for two years, for two reasons. The first, most obvious, I like watches. I can’t even explain why, then again that’s what passion is all about: you can’t really explain. If you’re into cars, the overlap with watches is actually huge. The Rolex Daytona was named after the eponymous race and is traditionally gifted to the winner. Chopard has been sponsoring the Mille Miglia since 1988. Richard Mille sponsors McLaren, Ferrari and various F1 drivers. And so on.
Now I think the time is ripe to try and throw watches in the mix along with cars and tech, and see how it goes. I will try and keep it car related, for example I will be writing about the latest Panerai, which was designed in partnership with Brabus, and I will try to keep it at least 70-30 ratio (cars-watches).
